Topic: Let My People Go

Text: Exodus 14:1–

INTRODUCTION

After God brings a person out of bondage, that is not the end of the journey. Deliverance is not destination.

From Exodus 14:1–2, we see that even after leaving Egypt, the Lord Himself must order your steps.

Why? Because without divine guidance, a man can easily return to the trap prepared by his enemies. Exodus 14:17.

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is destruction. (Proverbs 14:12)

Therefore, God’s leadership is not optional—it is life.

1. GOD MUST LEAD YOU SO THAT YOU WILL NOT RETURN TO EGYPT

(Exodus 13:17–18)

Even though the Israelites had exited Egypt, God did not allow them take the shorter route because when they saw war, they would turn back.

Leaving Egypt (the world, sin, bondage) does not mean battles are over.

This is why God must teach you His way.

Psalm 32:8 — “I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go…”

Psalm 73:24–25 — “You will guide me with Your counsel…”

You cannot enter the Promised Land without divine instruction.

If you walk in your own way, God is not in that journey.

2. GOD GUIDES ONLY THOSE WHO HEARKEN TO HIS INSTRUCTIONS

The Lord went with Israel as a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.

Where the presence of God is:

The sea flees

Jordan parts

Mountains skip like rams

Why? Because God was with them.

But many Christians today live in selective obedience.

They obey only what is convenient.

When instructions become uncomfortable, they say, “God is not speaking.This is why many believers are easily frightened by the “animals” of this world—demons, fear, challenges.

Jeremiah 6:16 — God keeps saying, “Walk in the old paths,” but many say, “No way!”

This is why God seems silent in many lives today.

Any journey you don’t start with God, God will not finish with you.

3. SELF-WILL IS A TRAP

Your own understanding is the fastest road back to Egypt.

Self-will has led many astray.

After God brings you out of slavery, you must allow Him to lead you,

otherwise anything in the world can mislead you and when the enemy strikes, you will fall.

Many attend church only when it is convenient.

But what will arrest a man is near when he refuses divine guidance.

Whosoever God leads after deliverance is the one who will enter glory.

4. THE PURPOSE OF DELIVERANCE IS TO BRING YOU INTO NEW GLORY

The reason God brought Israel out was to take them into a new glory.

But if you refuse His leadership, the fierce animals problems, temptations, distractions will finish you.

Psalm 16:8 — “I have set the Lord always before me…”

Keep God before you through obedience.

If pride—your job, marriage, connection, beauty, position—stops you from following God,

those same things will disappoint you.

Your true joy is not earthly success.

Your joy is to reach the Promised Land in glory.

5. MANY BELIEVERS HAVE LEFT GOD AFTER THEIR DELIVERANCE

When you first became born again:

You could hear God clearly

You fasted regularly

You studied the Word daily

But now those things have stopped.

How will God take you higher?

Prayer without repentance is meaningless.

What obedience should solve, marathon fasting will not solve.

Return to God.

Return to obedience.

Return to the old paths.

Return to the place of guidance.

CONCLUSION

God’s command is simple:

“Let My people go… so they may serve Me.” (Exodus 8:1)

Leaving Egypt is not the destination.

Entering the Promised Land is.

And only those who allow God to lead them will enter into glory.

Topic: That I May Know him

Text: Philippians 3:10.

Exposition.

Paul wrote this letter to the Phillipians expressing his desire to have a deep personal relationship with Jesus. This knowledge is the source of new life, power and freedom from spiritual death and sin. Paul was not interested in mental knowledge , he wanted a heart and intimate knowledge of who Jesus is and that is why he expressed that desire.  Paul intended to know four things:

1.      To know him: a profound first hand relationship with him and not just an intellectual knowledge about him.

2.      The power of his resurrection: He wants to experience the power demonstrated in the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. In this power lies miracles, and until you know and experience it, you will not live in the miraculous here on earth. There are two types of Christians on earth; the ones who believe and follow God without a knowledge of his power and those who live life in obedience to God and also know and experience the power of his resurrection. Experiencing the power of his resurrection is living above limitations and in victory.

3.      The fellowship of his Suffering made conformable unto his death. Paul wanted to share in the suffering of Christ to the extent that he was ready to die for Christ. The other Apostles too were ready to suffer for Christ. This tells us that our walk with God also includes suffering for the Lord’s sake. Philippians 1:29. We must walk with and work for God based on our love for him and not for the rewards we want from him. When we do these with love as the foundation, we are able to withstand the sufferings that come with walking and working for God.

4.      To attain the resurrection of his death. He also desired to be with Jesus on the resurrection day. Do you also have this desire? How are you preparing yourself to meet with Jesus? Are you actively thinking about the coming of the Lord Jesus? Beware of being raptured about terrestrial and material things.

Things to do to make the resurrection morning with Jesus.

1.      Spiritual Rebirth. This means to give your life to Jesus and it could also mean to rejuvenate your faith if you have backslided. Every man has two races: the race of destiny and the race to heaven. Many have neglected the race of heaven for the race of destiny and some have not even discovered the race of destiny and the race to heaven. Our time is far spent and we have just limited time here on earth, repent and be intentional with your walk with God.

2.      Be ready to make sacrifices. You cannot attain this level without sacrifice. Philippians 3: 7-8. If you want to win Christ, you must lose some things; your pride, status, money, relationships and appetite. Pay the cost of knowing God.

3.      Seek a relationship with Christ in prayers, bible study and fellowship with other brethren. Cultivate a personal retreat. If you want to know God, you must be ready to go deeper with him.

1.      Lord, help me to seek you and pay the cost for knowing you in Jesus’name.

CAC Faith Palace, Omisanjana Inaugural service

Topic: For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Text: Luke 1: 26-38.

Exposition.

About 5 years ago, God had instructed me to have a branch at Omisanjana and by God’s providence and help we are here today having this first service.

The foundation of this church was laid 16th March 2024 and it was roofed on May 14th and 15th 2025 and today 23rd November 2025, we are having the first service. God did all of these in one and half years. There is nothing he cannot do, what we need before we can enter into our possibility is that we must have vision. God gave the vision for this place and by his power, he made the vision possible. 

Vision may come through the word, revelation, dream or through the prophet. The way it comes is immaterial, what is important is that the vision is true. Mary received an angelic visitation that gave her a divine revelation, a vision of a son. If you will enter the realm of possibility you must have the vision of where you are going.

After receiving the vision, you need the manifesto: how am I going to achieve it? It is not enough to merely give thanks after receiving the vision, proceed to ask God how you will achieve it and be sure that God will give you an answer. Many people encounter delay at this point because they fail to ask for the manifesto on how to achieve the vision.

Believe in God’s power to do it. The angel’s response to Mary highlighted that it won’t be by the power or strength of Mary but by the power of the Holy Spirit. Whatever vision God has given you, believe that it will be achieved by the power of God. If you don’t rely on God, then you will not see the vision manifest.   We must not interpret divine vision through the carnal lens.

Another factor to experience possibility  is to learn from the testimonies of others. There are people that have enjoyed possibilities and their testimonies will strengthen your faith. Mary heard the testimony of Elizabeth who conceived in her old age and this testimony galvanised her that it was possible for her to conceive of the Holy Spirit.

 Finally believe the vision and the process. Mary had gotten her answer from the Holy Spirit and her response to it showed her faith in God. She believed and said be it unto me according to your word. When the word of God has gone ahead of you, no opposition can stop you. When you have God’s word to proceed, you have no reason to fear.

1. Lord, teach me how to enjoy possibility in Jesus’name.

Topic: Season of Harvest

Text: Psalm 126

Message Summary

Before the season of harvest, there must first be a season of sowing.

The Bible records that “they that sow in tears shall reap in joy.”

Some people sow with tears and sweat, but they eventually reap with gladness.

They sowed even when it was not convenient, and in due time, they reaped in convenience and joy.

Why Did They Sow in Tears?

1. Sowing is not comfortable.

Before you sow maize, you must clear the bush, burn it, and wait for the rain to fall.

Sowing takes labour, time, and travail. It is not easy.

2. They sowed despite the pain.

Though tears rolled down their faces, they continued to sow.

They refused to be comforted or discouraged because they expected a harvest.

The Scripture says, “They went forth weeping, bearing precious seeds.

The Nature of Their Seed

1. They carried precious seeds.

Their seeds were not ordinary; they were quality seeds — seeds that justified their weeping and labour.

They didn’t plant adulterated seeds; they ensured their seeds were worthy of harvest.

2. They never stopped sowing.

Despite the harsh conditions, they continued.

Because their seeds were special and their faith steadfast, their harvest became certain.

The Assurance of Harvest

Their labour was not in vain.

The Bible says, “They shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing their sheaves with them.”

No cankerworm or devourer could destroy their harvest because they sowed precious seeds with persistence.

The Seed We Sow Today

There are many seeds we can sow, but today, the seed is PRAYER.

If you pray intentionally and set your mind on God, your prayer becomes a seed, and your miracle becomes the harvest.

Note: The quality of your prayer and the grace of God upon you determine the kind of testimony you receive.

A prayer without faith has no quality.

But a prayer offered in faith becomes a precious seed that produces mighty miracles.

Prophetic Charge

As many as are ready to sow the seed of prayer  if you can pray intentionally 

Before the end of this year, you will return with testimonies and rejoicing in Jesus’ name!

If you want to come back with rejoicing, pay your dues now 

Keep sowing your prayer seeds even when it is not convenient.

Heaven is waiting to hear your cry and respond to your voice.

The grace of God in this service is sufficient for you.

Lord, I thank You for giving me the grace to sow my own seeds.

(The seriousness of your thanksgiving shows the strength of your faith.)

2. Open Heaven:

Oh Lord, open the heavens for me; release power upon me for this prayer season.

Oh Lord, I refuse to end this year without my miracle!

Topic: Man: the servant Leader

Text: Mark 10:42- 45

Man is the first creature of God that can think. Servant leadership is a principle where the leader's primary goal is to serve the group, prioritising the growth of the group. Jesus is a very good example of servant leadership; he has also called his followers to be like him.

This theory is also expressed in the family structure. Though a father is the head, he is also the servant, providing, protecting the home. To be a servant leader takes a lot of responsibility with its own specific processes:

1. One can be born into leadership 

2. By Traditional

3. By protocol

4. By Socio-political

5. By spirituality.

What is important is learning to be a servant leader, regardless of the process. A leader must be selfless without seeking personal glory and comfort.

There are three main components of servant leadership:

1. Commitment to the needs of others

2. Emotional intelligence.

3. Community-focused.

Becoming a servant leader is not easy because every human is inherently selfish and self-centred.

Key to being a Servant Leader

1. Anyone who will be a servant leader must know the first servant leader, who is Jesus Christ.  One of the reasons for the challenge we face in the world today is that Jesus is not known, and those who know him are ignorant of his character of Servant leadership.

2. The second key to servant leadership is having the right mindset. Philippians 2:4-5.

3. Always remember that you are human. Philippians 2: 6-7.

4. Be humble, just like Jesus. Philippians 2:8. If you are not humble, you cannot learn obedience.  

5. Learn to empathise with people.

There are two rewards for a servant leader:

1. Exaltation from God.  Philippians 1:9

2. God will give you a name like he did for Jesus.

1. Lord, give me the right mindset for servant leadership in Jesus’ name.

Topic: Seeking the kingdom of God

Text: Matthew 6:10

This I a continuation of the topic where we are considering how to seek God’s kingdom.

The third point is to live a Holy Life. Matthew 5:48. God’s kingdom is holy and you cannot enter if you don’t have the character of the kingdom. If you are not pursuing holiness, you are not seeking the kingdom of God. The name of Jesus through repentance is the access card to the kingdom, holiness is the uniform and lifestyle of the kingdom. If you ill seek God’s kingdom, Holiness is not an option it is mandatory. Romans 6:11-14

The fourth way to seek the kingdom is by studying the word of God. The word of God is the compass that shows us the way to and around the kingdom. You will not know the character of the king of the kingdom if you don’t study your bible. It helps us from falling into errors. This is not the era to seek miracles; it is the era of studying the word of God and then we get the miracles we desire. Henceforth, priorities the word of God daily, Colossians 3:16

The fifth way to seek the kingdom is fellowshipping with brethren. If you are child of God, seeking God’s kingdom, you will have great eagerness and delight to fellow with brethren. We have been admonished in Hebrews 10:25 not to forsake the gathering of the brethren as we anticipate the day of the Lord (Rapture). Avoiding fellowship will lead us to far from God and cause us to live in fear.

The sixth way is to trust in God’s provision. If you don’t trust God’s provision, anxiety will take you away from the kingdom and the principles of the kingdom. Matthew 6:28-34.

The last way is to seek his will always. You will remember that we have started that God’s kingdom is where his will is accomplished always. When you seek his will, you also commit to establishing his will in your life. I Thessalonians 4:4; 5:18

Conclusively, I pray Hebrews 13:20-21 for you, that you will be helped by God to seek the Kingdom.

1. Lord, by your spirit, help me to do what it pleasing to you in Jesus’ name.

Topic: Seeking the kingdom of God

Text: Matthew 6:10

The kingdom of God is where the will of God is being accomplished on earth. God’s kingdom as christains should be the most important thing to us, when we have this stance, it means that we are seeking God’s kingdom.

Why should we seek the Kingdom? We lost the kingdom through Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden and also because the kingdom suffers violence and only the violent possess it by force. This means that there are powerful spiritual forces opposing God’s kingdom and spiritually strong individual must apply intense  effort  and passion to enter the kingdom and claim it.

How do we seek the Kingdom?

The number one and primary way to seek God’s kingdom is through repentance. Matthew 3: 2-3. This was the first message of Jesus when he started ministry in Matthew 4:17. Anyone who will seek the kingdom must have this foundation of genuine repentance. Judas lost the kingdom because he didn’t repent genuinely and did not turn himself to God holistically. We still have people like Judas who go to church because of what they get from God and not because of the kingdom.

Today is a day of self-reflection, have you genuinely repented of your sins? One of the signs of genuine repentance is a testimony of conversation like Paul had in Phillipians chapter 3. When you repent, time of refreshing will come from the Lord. Acts 3:19.

The second way of seeking the kingdom is to love the Lord. Matthew 22:37-38. This according to Jesus is the most important law and it happens after repentance. We must love the Lord above all other things. Love for God is deep and sacrificial, we sacrifice our lives, time and resources for the Lord and his kingdom. Do you love the Lord? If you do, it will reflect in everything you do. Your trust in God, service to God and confidence in God, you will deserve fellowship with the Lord.

Go and live in this determination in Psalms 18:1-2. What can you forsake for the love of Christ? This is also an indicator of your love to Christ. If you cannot give yourself to God, you cannot give any other thing to God.

1. Lord, help me to love you with all my soul, heart and mind in Jesus’ name.

Topic: Seeking the Kingdom of God  

Text: Matthew 6:33

Introduction:

The kingdom of God represents the heavenly governance of God, aimed at accomplishing His will on earth. Jesus instructs us in Matthew 6:33 to seek this kingdom first, highlighting its paramount importance in our lives. This kingdom was lost by Adam through the deceit of Satan, resulting in humanity losing divine governance (Romans 5:18-19). Our greatest pursuit on earth should be to reclaim and prioritize this kingdom.

Ways to Seek the Kingdom of God

1. Genuine Repentance:

  – The foundation of seeking God's kingdom is true repentance. This involves a thoughtful consideration of our ways and a commitment to forsake them.

 – Repentance can be divided into two parts:

 ▪ Thought-provoking repentance: This leads to a transformation from sinful behavior to Christlike character.

 ▪ The result of true repentance is twofold: our sins are erased, and we experience refreshing moments from the Lord.

2. Choose to Live a Godly Life:

   – If we have genuinely given our lives to Jesus, sin should no longer rule over us (Romans 6:11-14). We must remain faithful despite the evil in the world.

   – Psalm 15 outlines the characteristics of a godly life, encouraging us to reflect on how we live daily.

3. Studying the Word of God Daily:

   – Acts 17:11 emphasizes the importance of daily engagement with Scripture. As children of God, we should never leave home without immersing ourselves in His word.

   – Psalm 119:105 reminds us that God's word is our lamp and light, guiding us through life. Without it, we risk stumbling in darkness.

4. Fellowship with Brethren:

   – Engaging with fellow believers strengthens our faith, encourages prayer, and allows us to hear testimonies that uplift us.

   – It is unwise to withdraw from fellowship due to past experiences with bad leadership; such attitudes hinder our spiritual growth. Remember, you cannot become a teacher without first being a student.

5. Trusting God for Provisions:

 – Matthew 6:28-34 reassures us that if we prioritize seeking the kingdom of God, He will provide for our needs.

 – Distrust in God's provision can distract us from our pursuit of His kingdom. We must learn to rely on Him for everything.

6. Seeking the Will of God:

– This involves giving thanks in all circumstances and fleeing from sin, particularly adultery.

  – 1 Thessalonians 4:3 emphasizes living in holiness as part of God's will for our lives, while Romans 8:38 reminds us that nothing can separate us from the love of God.

Conclusion:

Seeking the kingdom of God is a profound and essential pursuit in our lives as believers. It requires genuine repentance, a commitment to godliness, diligent study of the Scriptures, fellowship with other believers, unwavering trust in God's provision, and a dedication to living according to His will. By prioritizing these aspects, we align ourselves with God's purpose and experience the fullness of His kingdom in our lives.

Topic: The Blessing of God.

Text: Proverbs 10:22

God is the creator of heaven and earth; he owns our lives and everything on earth.  The bible text shows us that true wealth is in God’s hand and not how hardworking one is; it is the result of God’s blessing.  The blessing from God has no sorrow, and it can be left as a legacy for children and generations unborn. The blessings of God come with grace without our effort. There are no negative consequences associated with blessings from God, unlike blessings gotten from a negative source.

God’s blessing is not wealth, but it leads to wealth. This doesn’t mean that every believer will be wealthy in the material sense. Wealth in the material sense is influenced largely by your character, career, capacity and chemistry.

God’s blessings are things that money cannot buy: health, wisdom, favour, protection, ability and strength, grace, joy, freedom and peace. These things are the foundation for anyone who will have wealth. If we don’t appreciate and value these blessings, they won’t lead to wealth. These blessings are the power to make wealth.

How then do you turn these blessings into wealth?

1.  Believe in God’s principle as true. Your wealth is dependent on the blessings of God, not on your competence or efforts.  Job 5:27

2. Believe that you are a steward of these blessings. I Peter 4:10. If you don’t see yourself as a steward, you won’t be able to see yourself as a channel of these blessings, and then you can use it for the common good of those around you.

3.  Use the blessing to profit. Invest in the blessing. Proverbs 6:6-11.

4. Obedience to God’s principle of wealth(tithe, hardwork, sowing&giving). These principles may look stupid to the world, but they are tested and trusted principles that bring results for those who obey.  Isaiah 48:18-19

Topic: In the Days of Your Strength

Text: Lamentation 3:27

This is a continuation of the series “in the days of your strength”. We will continue considering what to do with these strengths. You will recall that it was stressed that the number of strengths you have doesn’t matter; what matters is what you do with these strengths.

In continuation of this series, we will consider another thing to do in the days of your strength. We will consider taking responsibility today. One of the strengths that we have identified is youthfulness, and the bible says that it is good that in the days of your strength you take responsibility. What does it mean to take responsibility?

1.     Rule your life, set goals and be in charge of your life.

2.     Be disciplined.

3.     Sacrificial living and total denial of self. i.e selflessness. We must know that progress is in the place of discomfort.

Anyone who doesn’t take responsibility while he is young will regret it in their old age. Let something consume your heart that keeps you awake and drives everything that you do.

The fourth thing to do is to seek wisdom. Proverbs 20:18, 24, Ecclesiastes 7:12. Wisdom gives life to those who have it; if you want to live life maximally, you need wisdom. Pay the price for improving yourself. Ensure that you are constantly adding value to your life at every phase of your life.

Another thing is to get married at the right time. Proverbs 5:18. While it is good to marry early, it is foolishness to marry because of physical attraction. Proverbs 31:30. Marry for character, capacity and purpose.

The day of your strength is your time to fail forward. Proverbs 20:21. Don’t be afraid of failure; failure is not the end of a thing; it gives us wisdom to redo the same thing in different ways. Failure is a means to success.

Finally, the days of your strength won't last forever; it has an expiring date, and that is why the time to act is now. Reset your mind and commitment to investing in yourself during the days of your strength.

Topic: How Were Thine Eyes Opened?

Text: John 9:1-12  

Note: In this powerful message, we explore the profound transformation experienced by the man born blind in John 9. This miracle not only restored his sight but also marked a new beginning in his life. The inquiry from his neighbours, “How were thine eyes opened?” reflects the curiosity and amazement that follows a divine intervention.

Key Points:

1. The Conversation Between Jesus and His Disciples (John 9:1-4):

   – The disciples questioned why the man was born blind, highlighting a common struggle to understand suffering and misfortune. Jesus clarified that this situation was not due to sin but was intended for God’s glory to be revealed.

   – Our struggles often serve a greater purpose, and through them, God’s glory can manifest in our lives. Just as Lazarus’s death was for God’s glory, our challenges can lead to miraculous outcomes.

2. The Encounter with Jesus (John 9:6):

   – An encounter with Jesus is transformative. The blind man’s life changed dramatically after he met Christ. Similar encounters with Jesus have changed many lives throughout the Bible, such as Zacchaeus and the ten lepers.

   – When we genuinely meet Jesus, our lives cannot remain the same. His presence brings healing, restoration, and new beginnings.

3. Obedience (John 9:7):

   – The blind man’s obedience to Jesus’ command to wash in the Pool of Siloam was pivotal. Despite having no prior knowledge of how this would restore his sight, he obeyed.

   – Our obedience to God can often be tested in ways that seem unreasonable or illogical. However, disobedience can hinder us from experiencing God’s blessings. Trusting and obeying God leads us to our breakthroughs.

4. Endurance:

   – The process of receiving healing involved enduring what seemed ridiculous: the application of clay made from saliva and dirt. It required faith to follow Jesus’ instructions.

   – Endurance is crucial in our walk with God. The Bible promises that those who endure to the end shall be saved. Faith is essential for understanding God’s mysteries and pleasing Him.

Conclusion:

Just as the blind man experienced a miraculous transformation through a conversation with Jesus, an encounter with Him, obedience to His word, and enduring faith, we too can experience new beginnings in our lives. Let us open our hearts to God’s work in us and trust Him for our breakthroughs.

Call to Action:

As we conclude this service, let us reflect on our own lives. Are there areas where we need to seek an encounter with Jesus? Are we ready to obey His commands, even when they challenge our understanding? Let us pray for endurance in our faith journey, believing that God is able to open our eyes to new possibilities and blessings.

May this message inspire you to seek a deeper relationship with Christ and embrace the new beginnings He has for you!

Topic: In the Days of Your Strength

 Text: I Samuel 20: 1

 To the end This is a continuation of last week’s message. We will continue considering what to do with these strengths. You will recall that it was stressed that the number of strengths you have doesn’t matter; what matters is what you do with these strengths. I must mention here that in the days of your strength, you must take care of your parents because they were the ones who supported you to develop those strengths. I Samuel 22:1-4.

 The second relationship to consider is the covenant relationship. Jonathan and David had a covenant relationship. There is no tangible relationship until the relationship is covenanted. I Samuel 18:3. 

There is also no covenant relationship without a definition. The most important covenant relationship is marriage, and it plays a role as to why it is enduring. 

Don’t enter any serious relationship with an unserious person; always bring God to the relationship. The third level of relationship is a social relationship. We are created as social beings, and we must be careful with those we build social relationships. It should be symbiotic; don’t be a parasite in any relationship, I Corinthians 9: 11. 

Three things are key for this relationship, and first is that you must be a person of integrity, secondly, have intelligence to keep the relationship, and finally, have confidence in yourself and in the relationship. 

Relationships are very crucial, and it is also a target of the devil. The devil tampers with people’s relationships as a tool to destroy/ distract people. Prayer 1. Lord, give me wisdom, teach me how to have a good relationship with you and with men

Topic: In the Days of Your Strength

The days of your strength are the days you reach the peak of your power and your moments of stardom. Everyone in life has their moment, and when momentum is gained, they become the days of your strength.

These days of strength are not in perpetuity; they are only for a while. When strength fails, what you have done with it in turn becomes what gives you strength. This strength comes in diverse ways to everyone; God designed it that every individual has specific and unique areas of strength. Let’s identify the area of strength specific to the youth.

1. Youthfulness. Proverbs 20:29

2. Wealth. Ecclesiastes 7:12.

3. Academic attainment/artisan skills. Daniel 1:4: Daniel and his friends were young and well-educated. These made them qualified to learn at the king's palace and serve the king. Grace and favour find something before it highlights on anyone, opportunity will always meet preparation.

4. Family lineage, inheritance, or tradition. Ezekiel 22:6

5. Spiritual gifts. They are special abilities and capacities given by God to individuals to function in God’s house.

6. Beauty. Solomon 1:15-16.

What matters is not the area of strength, but what matters is what you do with these strengths. Many people waste and spend( Using the strength for immediate gratification). Only a few people invest in their strength and fulfil their destiny. Investing your strength is when you use your strength to build your future. When you waste/spend your strength, the result is regret

Let’s examine things that strength can be used for:

1. Know God and use your strength for God. Ecclesiastes 12:1-2. Be intentional with your relationship with God.

2. Build godly relationships. There are three relationships to note in this area: marital, covenant, and societal relationships. Proverbs 5:18.

1. Lord, teach me how not to end my life in regret in Jesus’ name.

2. Lord, I ask that you give me the discernment to hear instructions from you and the courage to act on your words in Jesus’ name.

Key Message:

The Word of God is potent and ever-relevant. What He declared to Jeremiah, He is declaring to you today:

“Is there anything too hard for me?

Context of Jeremiah 32:

Jeremiah obeyed God's instruction to buy a piece of land during a time of national crisis.

Soon after, God revealed that the land would fall into enemy hands (Babylonians) and the people would go into captivity.

This left Jeremiah confused — why buy a land that will be destroyed?

In this confusion, he sought God in prayer

Lessons from Jeremiah’s Experience:

1. In Times of Confusion — Pray:

When you don’t understand what God is doing, go to Him in prayers.

➤ It’s only when God helps you that men can rise to help you.

2. Trust God, Not Men:

Many people pray, but their eyes remain on men for help.

If your focus is on men, you may miss your miracle.

God can use anyone, from anywhere, even the most unlikely source.

3. God’s Response to Jeremiah:

“I told you to buy the land.”

“I’m the one who will hand it over to the Babylonians.”

“And I will bring restoration — the land will gain value again.”

Why? Because “I am the God of all flesh.”

4. There Is Nothing Too Hard for God:

Even when we are faithless, God remains faithful (2 Timothy 2:13).

Amos 3:8 — “The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy?”

His words must come to pass.

Reflections:

Are you in a confusing season? Seek God in prayer. Don’t lean on your understanding or depend on the approval of men.

Have you stopped praying because answers seem delayed?

Check where your focus is. Real help comes from God alone.

Final Charge:If you trust in God, even when the world mocks you or gives you negative labels, Jesus will not disappoint you.

He is still the God of all flesh — the God who answers, restores, and performs wonders.

 In continuation of the ingredients of marital bliss, we will be considering other ingredients of marital bliss. The first is Honour/ Preference for your spouse. Honouring your spouse and treating him/her with respect is a key to a peaceful marriage. Our foundation and traditional history shape how we perceive and interact with our spouses.

 It is important to let go of any contrary knowledge about honouring your spouse to properly honour each other in line with God’s principles. The weakness of your spouse should not be the reason you should disrespect or dishonour him/her. The second ingredient is in Matthew 30:31a, which is to grow together. Couples must grow together in three areas: spiritually, particularly eating the same spiritual food. No one outgrows the need for growth; grow physically in all areas, including education, health, etc. Always strive to develop yourself and not settle for your current position.

 There is danger in only one spouse engaging in personal development; each spouse must strive to be fit to and fit for each other. One way to grow together is to love the job your spouse does, so you will be able to provide the necessary support. The area of growth is financial growth. The third ingredient is trust. As a couple, trust in God is essential, as stated in Proverbs 3:5 and Isaiah 28:16, and you will not make haste. Trust God for a blissful marriage, that he will help you to build a good home.

 Also, have trust in the marriage that it will work despite what is thrown at you. Trust your spouse, also the Proverbs 31 husband trusted his wife without any fear. Without trust, there can never be love; trust is the bedrock of love. The fourth ingredient is commitment. Commitment is laying necessity on yourself for your spouse. The fifth ingredient is communication. There should be nothing you cannot share with your spouse. Ephesians 4:15,29. Have sweet and funny conversations as well as hard and truthful conversations with your spouse. Don't condemn your spouse with your words; rather, uplift him/her with your words.

 Openness is another ingredient of a blissful marriage. Don't keep anything from yourselves, particularly as it relates to health and finances. Prayer is important for a blissful marriage. Have a family altar where you both pray as one before God and pray without ceasing. Prayer facilitates quick forgiveness and reduces fights. Each spouse should have three altars: a personal altar, a couple's altar, and a family altar. 

Finally, take responsibility. Ephesians 5:21, wives, submit to yourselves in the fear of the Lord. Husbands should love their wives. The husband is responsible for providing security for his family. Also, take responsibility for your in-laws; the first is to respect and honor them. Another responsibility to your in-laws is to take care of them, particularly your parents-in-law.

Knowledge Necessary for a Blissful Marriage (Isaiah 5: 13):

1. Knowledge of God:

A foundational understanding of God and His design for marriage is essential for longevity in marriage. External factors like money or beauty cannot replace this spiritual foundation.

2. Knowledge of Self:

Understanding one’s own temperament, strengths, and weaknesses is crucial. Awareness allows individuals to manage their traits and avoid pitfalls that could harm the relationship.

3. Knowledge of Spouse:

Gaining insight into your spouse's personality and preferences enhances cohabitation and strengthens the bond between partners.

4. Knowledge of Marriage:

Recognizing that marriage transforms two individuals into one entity is vital for success. This understanding fosters unity and collaboration within the relationship.

Conclusion:

The children of Isreal after their exeat from Egypt through God’s mighty powers, they were faced with hunger and thirst asked this question in the wilderness. The food the children of Isreal came out of Egypt with finished and they were faced with hunger and this led to the question being asked. This may be your situation, you have found yourself asking if God can turn your situation around just like the Israelites.

I must state here that at different points in Life, there are different challenges that will be faced, and this is life’s truth because life is in phases and there are specific challenges to each phase.

The word of God to you this month is that he will come through for you miraculously, believe this and you will see the Lord work wonders. The wilderness was dry but because they served a powerful God, there was a supernatural provision for them. You don’t need to know how God will provide, just believe and settle it in your heart that he will provide.

When this people asked for this question while in the wilderness, God showed them that there is no impossibility with him, he provided water from the rock, and it became a stream. God exceeded their expectations with his provisions He proceeded to send them Manna from the heavens, what a special grace from God.

God is faithful and is immutable, if he did it for the Israelites, he can do it for you, just believe and remain steadfast with your believe.

Prayers

1. Lord, I am about to be financially naked, cover me with financial blessing in Jesus’ name.

2. Lord, I’m thirsty, strike the rock and provide water for me.

Topic: Mercy That Transforms

Text: Mark 10:46–52

There were likely many men named Bartimaeus in the city during Jesus' time, but life gave this particular one a painful label—“Bartimaeus the Blind.” That was not his identity by birth, but a title stamped on him by circumstances.

Jesus was passing through Jericho for the last time before His crucifixion. After that moment, He never returned. That day was Bartimaeus’ last chance to receive sight, to be transformed, and to rewrite his story. If he had missed that moment, he might have lived the rest of his life in darkness.

Beloved, there is a set time for divine visitation. Psalm 102:13 says, "Thou shall arise and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come." When your set time comes, don't miss it. Bartimaeus almost missed his own, but mercy found him.

As Jesus walked past, surrounded by His disciples and a multitude, Bartimaeus was sitting by the roadside, begging. But though he was blind, he wasn’t deaf or mute. He had two working tools—his ears and his mouth—and he used them in faith. He had heard about Jesus' miracles. He believed. And when the moment came, he cried out: “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” (Mark 10:47)

Key Lessons:

1. Use What You Have

Bartimaeus used his voice and hearing to reach for what he lacked—his sight. You are not empty. There is something in you that, when trained and valued, can attract the miracle you seek. Stop underrating yourself. If you don’t announce your potential, no one will do it for you.

2. Don’t Miss Your Moment

Life-changing opportunities don’t come every day. Recognize when it’s your season. The problem is not always the devil—it can be delay or negligence. When God passes by, be ready. Pray this:

“Lord, this is my set time. Have mercy on me. Let my helpers locate me. Let your glory shine on me, in Jesus’ name!”

3. Opposition Is a Sign of Promotion

Every position attracts opposition. When you’re close to your breakthrough, resistance will increase. The crowd tried to silence Bartimaeus. Not one person defended him. That’s how this world works—evil thrives in numbers, but don't let the crowd discourage you.

The louder they tried to shut him down, the louder Bartimaeus cried out. And guess what? Jesus stood still. When your voice of faith reaches heaven, everything stops for your miracle.

Pray:

“Every opposition at the point of my testimony and glory, the Lord rebuke you in Jesus’ name!”

“Every covenant of stagnation and limitation in my lineage, be erased from my life and that of my children, in Jesus’ name!”

4. When God Arises, Your Enemies Bow

The same crowd that told Bartimaeus to be quiet turned around to cheer him up when Jesus called for him. Those who oppose you now will announce your elevation when mercy speaks for you.

Why You Must Not Be Discouraged:

God is with you – You are never alone.

Your situation does not define you – What God calls you is more powerful than what life labels you.

▎Introduction

Today, we gather to explore the profound significance of approaching the Throne of Grace. The Bible speaks of various thrones, including the Throne of Judgment and the White Throne, but today, our focus is on the Throne of Grace. This throne is not empty; it is presided over by our High Priest, Jesus Christ, who understands our struggles and empathizes with our weaknesses (Hebrews 4:15).

▎The Nature of the Throne of Grace

* The King on the Throne: Every throne has a king, and on the Throne of Grace, that king is Jesus Christ. He is not just a king but also our High Priest, who has walked the path we tread and faced temptations yet remained sinless.

* Empathy of Christ: Jesus empathizes with us because He knows our frame; He understands that we are dust. Despite our failures in temptation, He invites us to approach Him boldly to receive mercy and grace.

▎The Call to Approach the Throne

Many in our generation, like Barabbas, reject this invitation to approach the Throne of Grace. They remain in their struggles and poverty, missing out on the blessings that come from this divine encounter. 

▎How to Approach the Throne of Grace

1. Through Confession of Faith (Hebrews 4:14):

• To approach the Throne of Grace, we must first confess our faith and our sins. It is through this confession that we become children of God.

 • Our faith must be steadfast; we should not return to our old ways or practices that separate us from God. Satan seeks to undermine our faith, but we must hold firm.

2. With Boldness/Confidence (Hebrews 4:16):

 • We can approach this throne with confidence because it belongs to our Father. A true child does not hesitate to enter their father's house.

 • Do not let anyone manipulate you into thinking there are other ways to access this throne; Jesus has made it accessible at all times.

3. With Fear (Honor and Reverence):

• Approaching the Throne of Grace requires a sense of honor and sacredness. It is not a place for self-will but for recognizing God's holiness.

• Psalm 103:17 reminds us that if we fear the Lord, He is ready to show us mercy. We must live in a way that reflects our understanding of His greatness.

▎Results of Approaching the Throne of Grace

1. You Will Obtain Mercy (Hebrews 4:16)

• Coming to the Throne of Grace is essential for obtaining mercy. Grace and mercy are inseparable companions; grace opens the door to mercy.

 • Without grace speaking on your behalf, you may find yourself in a place of judgment and struggle. 

2. Transformation Through Grace:

 • When grace locates you, your circumstances can change dramatically. Many may possess gifts and talents but struggle without grace.

 • Grace brings connection to benefactors and opportunities, transforming lives and leading to joyous celebrations.

▎Conclusion

As we conclude today's message, remember that the Throne of Grace is always open to you. Do not let fear or doubt keep you from approaching it boldly. Embrace your identity as a child of God, confess your sins, and approach with reverence. As you do so, expect to receive mercy and experience the transformative power of grace in your life.

Let us pray for a fresh outpouring of grace upon each one of us as we approach this throne together today. Amen.

Topic: Wonderful story of love

God because of his love for mankind gave his only begotten son to die for our sin, John 4:10. His son, Jesus, also accepted to die for our sin because he loves us. He took the form of a man, he was crucified, yet he prayed for us. After his death, he rose to give us life and hope. I Corinthians 15: 12-20

The Implication of his love

1. This love delivered the kingdom back to the father. He ended all the rules and authority the devil had since the fall of man. Jesus’ death and resurrection brought the kingdom back to God.

2. Jesus became a life-giving spirit, I Corinthians 15:45-49. The first Adam was a living soul who could not give life, but by resurrection, Christ became a life-giving spirit because he is the life.

3. We have our victory. I Corinthians 15:50-57. The fit victory is victory over sin and then victory over death. When you conquer sin and flesh, there is nothing on earth that you cannot conquer.

Our responsibility to this love

1. Appreciate God or the love. Jesus’ birth was the beginning of our salvation, and his death and resurrection are the consummation of our salvation, so we must praise him for this great work of salvation. 2 Corinthians 2:14-5; 9:15. Rejoice and be full of joy.

2.     Respond to the love through repentance. 2 Corinthians 6: 1-3, 17-18

3. Live for him, Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5: 14-15

4. Love one another. John 15:11-12, 13:34-35

 Topic: Jeremiah and the Rechabites

Jeremiah 35: 1-10

 Jeremiah was God's prophet who preached repentance to the nation of Israel. The nation of Israel failed to repent, they didn't take the words of God seriously and did what displeased God. God wanted an example from the nation of Israel to prove to the nation that there are still some people around them who still obey their biological father. This was God’s way to bring them to repentance.

God is still in the business of bringing people back to repentance, constantly bringing men from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God.

Who are the Rechabbites? They are Jews with zealous forefathers. I Chronicles 2:55, 2 Kings 10:15. Their forefathers gave them instructions on how to live life.

God gave Jeremiah 3 instructions which he obeyed in detail. The instructions are:

●       Go to the house of Rechabites.

●       Bring them to the house of the Lord.

●       Give them wine.

Jeremiah brought them to the house of the Lord to make them convenient and safe and make it look holy and godly, yet they didn't drink the wine. They didn't compromise even though it was in the house of the Lord

 In this present age, we no longer stand for obedience and righteousness again, we have started rationalising sins.

The Rechabites were handed these instructions over 200 years before Jeremiah came to them, yet they kept the instructions. How are we handling instructions passed down to us? Do we even think it fit to pass them down to our children?

We must live our lives on earth knowing that we are strangers here and we must consciously live with eternity in view. This will help us to be God-conscious and faithful to all of God's ways.

What is your response to God's instructions and spiritual doctrines? This is a call to emulate the Rechabites and stay faithful to God and his dictates.

Prayer

1. Lord  help me to be faithful to you and all your instructions in Jesus's name.

Text: Genesis 19:23-38  

Introduction:

Beloved, as we gather today, let us reflect on the urgency of our spiritual state in these times. We are living in an era akin to Sodom and Gomorrah, as highlighted in Matthew 24:29-31, where the coming of the Lord is imminent. It is crucial that we examine our hearts and lives, for those who are not prepared for the rapture will face dire consequences, just as Sodom and Gomorrah were consumed by fire.

1. The Urgency of Preparation for the Rapture:

If anyone thinks they can endure the hardships that will follow the rapture, I urge you to reconsider. The time to prepare is now. Jesus instructed us to be ready, for the signs of the end times are all around us (Matthew 24:44). We cannot afford to be complacent; we must strive to make heaven our home today.

2. The Heart's Attachment to Sin:

As we explore Genesis 19:26, we see Lot’s wife looking back at Sodom, despite being led out of that sinful city. Her heart was still attached to her treasures and the life she left behind. This serves as a warning: you may have physically left a life of sin, but if sin still resides in your heart, you risk your spiritual safety. We must ensure that our hearts are aligned with God’s will and not with the allure of sin

3. The Power of Intercessory Prayer:

We learn from Genesis 19:27-29 that Abraham's prayers were instrumental in Lot's rescue. How many of us are praying for others? In a world where selfishness often prevails, let us not forget the power of intercessory prayer. If God could save Lot due to Abraham’s faithfulness, imagine what our prayers can do for our families and communities. Let us commit to praying for others, securing their futures through our supplications.

4. The Consequences of Fear and Poor Decisions:

When Lot left Zoar and sought refuge in the mountains out of fear, he made a grave mistake. Had he obeyed God’s command initially, he would not have found himself hiding in a cave. Fear can lead us away from God’s will and into despair. 

Let’s examine three critical mistakes made by Lot’s daughters:

A. Over-exaggeration of Problems: They claimed there were no men left in the world, which clouded their judgment. When we magnify our problems, we risk falling into error (1 Corinthians 10:13; 2 Corinthians 4:17; Romans 8:18; 1 John 4:4). 

B. Lack of Spiritual Discernment: Their decision to intoxicate their father to conceive children stemmed from a lack of faith and reliance on God's plan. Remember, if God is not the Alpha, He cannot be the Omega in your life.

C. Exploiting Weaknesses: They took advantage of their father’s weakness for alcohol. Each of us has weaknesses that can be exploited by the enemy. Recognizing and addressing these weaknesses is crucial for spiritual strength. Lot was a man of God, yet his daughters' actions brought shame upon him. Conclusion:

Brothers and sisters, let us take these lessons to heart. We are all imperfect beings striving for perfection in Christ. What others complain about regarding us often points to our weaknesses—let us work on them diligently. In this season of preparation, may we remain vigilant, prayerful, and committed to God’s will. 

Let us pray for strength to overcome our weaknesses, for the grace to intercede for others, and for the wisdom to remain steadfast in our faith as we await the glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Scripture Reference: Genesis 19:12-14

 In our previous discussions, we explored seven traits that distinguished Lot's character. Today, we will examine how Lot became an urgent evangelist by urging his in-laws to flee Sodom, warning them of the impending destruction.

 In these end times, as God prepares to bring judgment upon the world, we still need evangelists like Lot who will proclaim to everyone, "Come out from among them and be separate from sin."

 Through radio and social media, we often hear messages focused on prosperity, emphasizing the magnitude of personal problems without reminding listeners of the Lord's second coming. The signs of the end times have all been fulfilled; the only thing left is the rapture.

 What steps are we taking individually to alert our friends, relatives, and family about the imminent return of the Lord?

 Our attire, speech, and daily activities should reflect the Gospel and serve as a form of evangelism. The people around you—colleagues, drivers, neighbors, messengers, and apprentices—are not mere coincidences; they are connected to you for the purpose of sharing the Gospel.

 If your faith is not evident in your appearance or in how you raise your children, then your faith may be questionable.

 1. Even though Lot faced mockery and disgrace, it did not prevent the destruction of Sodom. As evangelists, despite ridicule and condemnation, we must continue our mission (Romans 1:18-22).

 2. Lot was instructed to leave the city with his family, but he hesitated. Many of us, like Lot, hesitate to abandon sin because of its perceived benefits. Remember that death is the ultimate fate for sinners. The time has come to break free from sin that separates you from God.

 3. The angel gave Lot three critical instructions: do not look back, do not linger, and run to the mountain. After being saved, you have responsibilities: Luke 9:62 reminds us not to look back but to focus on our heavenly journey. If you hesitate, you risk getting ensnared by sin. It may be challenging now, but it will soon pass (2 Corinthians 4:17). Run and ascend the mountain of prayer, love for others, holiness, and righteousness. Unfortunately, Lot failed to climb this mountain; he chose his own path instead of God's will and ended up regretting it. Are you following God's will or merely His permissive will? Many things God has asked you to do remain undone as you compromise your faith for personal desires.

 Hebrews 12:25: 

"See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven."

1st Sunday of March

Topic: The Unstoppable God.

Text: Isaiah 43:13.

The God who spoke here has said no one can deliver out of his hand. Isaiah 14:27. No one can stop God; he is the only one that can do such, overturning the decision of men. He is the only one that can speak and decide, and no one can thwart.

You have to believe that which God has said concerning you, no one can reverse it, the purpose of God will be fulfilled in your life. Many events are happening at the end of this world, pointing to God as the almighty God. God has not forgotten anyone, no one should forget himself/herself.

Having this knowledge, here is the next step to take:

1. Don't be afraid. Isaiah 44:6-8. Some of us live in fear even after God has told us he has settled it because we can't see the physical manifestation of his word.

2. Don't run after another God. God has said he will act accordingly, wait for the person that has purposed to do it. Our fear usually drives us to do what is not in God’s will. Isaiah 44:9-11.

3. Don't trust in man. Man will mislead you. Genesis 30: 22-24. God’s word will be fulfilled, fix your eyes continually on him.

4. Hold on to your faith. The reason you are in this circumstance/ situation is because the devil is after your faith. Nothing can conquer you here on earth if your faith is still anchored and rooted in Christ, for you will see Jesus in eternity. Romans 4: 17-21.

Ecclesiastical 3:11-14, Conclusively, God wants to work now, what is left is for you to restructure your way before God. Isaiah 40:3-5. The way of the Lord is the way of holiness, let your life please God this month. If you have done this, pray to God, lift up your voice and speak to God in prayer. Isaiah 40:9.

Remember that God will not do this miracle because of your efforts, money or status but solely because the Lord has spoken it.

Prayers.

1. My creator, I am back to you, deliver me.

2. My creator, I am back to you, Lord, settle my situation today.

3. My God, the dog of the world is barking, appear as the lion of the tribe of Judah.

4. Lord, don't allow man to ridicule me, my God intervene switchly.

5. Lord, this my pursuit, Lord intervene, don't leave it to me Lord.

Topic: The cord has broken and we have escaped

Text: Psalms 124:7

The people of this world set snares for ourselves just as we set snares for animals. The snares set by human is worse than those of animals; only God can save anyone ensnared in man's trap. Snares have certainly been set, but we have escaped!

How do we escape? Because the snares have been broken, and therefore we escape. What broke the snares? Let's see four factors that led to this:

1. God is with us. Psalms 124:1-2.

2. We were helped by God. We encountered help in the name of the Lord. Psalms 124:8.

3. God chose to love us. Psalms 135:4; 147:20.

4. It pleases God to do so. Psalms 135:6

These four reasons should propel us to give thanks to God, for he has caused us to see the 14th year of the establishment of CAC Faith Palace. Psalms 136:1-2; 23-24, 107:1-2.

Topic: Lessons from Lot and his Wife

Text: Genesis 19:

This is the beginning of a series that will take us about 3 Sundays as we do an expose on the life of Lot and his family.

Lot is Abraham's Nephew, who followed Abraham when God called him out of his kinsmen. Abraham and Lot separated after they had journeyed for a while and he pitched his tent in sodom.

We don't know how many years Lot had stayed in Sodom but we want to examine and learn from the incident in Genesis 19. The following are the lessons from Lot:

1. The first lesson is that he had become an elder who sits at the gate even though he was a stranger in Sodom. We must be intentional about your growth regardless of your background or circumstance.

2. Lot had discernment, the angels appeared like ordinary men and could discern that they were angels. He wasn't the only one sitting at the gate but he was the only one who knew the men as angels. Discernment is a gift that every child of God must have especially at this end time. If you are not Discerning you will loose your destiny looking for cheap and free things. We must be like Lot and be able to discern our environment and those around us. This discernment was Lot's saving grace from the doom to come on Sodom.

3. Lot knew the act of worship. He bowed them before them, even though he was an elder of the land. How well do you worship God? Do you worship him from your heart? Lot knew the art and the act of worship. The fathers of faith taught us that worship entails talking to God, listening to God and giving our offering. How faithful are we in our worship to God?

4. He was hospitable.vs. 2-3. Every child of God must learn hospitality, hospitality brought about the manifestation of God's promise to Abraham. Hospitality is a ministry that every child of God must be active in, if you don't learn to give, you will never make impact and you will never leave the level of poverty.

5. He was protective of his guests. Vs. 4-7. How well do you protect the interest of people around you? He guided his guests against the people of sodom. In this generation, we are all about our selfish interest and we do not pay attention to the interests of others around us.

6. Lot trained his girls well in a corrupt society, his children were virgins, vs 8. Hiw are we training our children today?

7. Lot lived a sacrificial life, vs 8. He was ready to sacrifice his children to protect the angels. Anyone who will make it in life must be ready to make sacrifice.

These seven lessons are an introduction into the series and we will continue the series. These seven lessons call for reflection to know what is missing in your life.

Prayers

1. Lord, help me to live right and rightly, to live a life of intention and not only emotions  in Jesus' name.

2. Ask for the help of the Holy spirit on are where you are lacking based on the lessons from Lot.

Topic: The Benefits of Being Zealous for God

Text: Number 25:1-13.

The children of Israel sojourned into the land flowing with milk and honey and while in the wilderness, they encountered different things one of which we want to examine today.

When they arrived at Shittim, they set up their camp there instead of continuing their journey. As a result, they began to engage in adultery and idolatry. If they had not stopped at Shittim, it is possible that they would not have fallen into these sins.

These two things are very prevalent in the end time now, but this doesn’t mean that God is happy with them because it is prevalent. Proverbs 5:3-5; 6:20-29,7:6-25. Whoever gives himself to fornication is on his way to his death which leads to relegation.

The children of Israel forgot God's command, and as a result, God became angry with them. This led to a plague that caused the deaths of 24,000 people. While they were mourning, a man among them took a Midianite woman and committed fornication with her, disregarding the solemnity of the moment. A person filled with zeal for God decided that this behavior could not continue and took action to put a stop to it.

The benefits of Phinehas’ zeal:

1.     As he speared the two individuals, the disease came to a halt.

2.     His zeal overturned the wrath of God. Verse 11

3.     Verse 12, God made a covenant of peace with him and his children.

4.     God made a covenant of priesthood forever.

5.     It was counted as righteousness for him. Psalms 106:30-31

Today, how many people are zealous for God? Are you as zealous for God as you are with your job? How many people will be like Phinehas in this generation who will stop God’s anger from this generation?  Check your zeal for God now compared to when you first believed. God is expecting someone to be like Phinehas for a revival of your passion for God and his kingdom work. This year, increase your zeal for God, be like David, and be zealous for God in all aspects, as the Lord gives you grace to work for him. 

Prayers

1.     Lord, I am weary, Lord revive me again, make me zealous for the kingdom’s work again.

2.     Lord, revive my love for you, let me love you more in Jesus’ name.

3.     Holy Spirit, help me not to be weary, let my fire continually burn for Christ.

Topic: God is a God of Surprise.

                                                                                                Text: Luke 1: 21- 25

The service was a conclusion of the 1st day of the three days of monthly Revival. It is a surprising thing for Zechariah and Elizabeth who served God wholeheartedly and in all righteousness were aged with barren. Despite all the odds, they didn’t turn from serving God. It was also surprising that Zechariah encountered the angel, became dumb, and that Elizabeth the aged woman became pregnant and gave birth to John. It is also surprising that Zechariah stood so long in the temple that everyone waiting began to wonder and marvel as to his stay.  As soon as he had this encounter, Zechariah left the temple to his house and took the necessary steps for Elizabeth to conceive. Elizabeth conceived and shared her testimony of the acts of God, and his favour stating that He had removed her disgrace.

Prayers

1.     Lord, my heart relies on you, lord in this month lord, do this (state your desires) for me in Jesus’ name.

2.     Lord, have mercy upon me in Jesus’ name.

3.     Lord, today, take away my reproach in Jesus’ name.

Topic: Jesus and Zacchaeus

Text: Luke 19:1-10

Zacchaeus was a chief tax collector and a Jew who faced rejection from his community due to his occupation. He was seen as an enemy of the Jews and a traitor. He was also a lost son of Abraham, being born in the church doesn’t guarantee your salvation. Zacchaeus, a wealthy, short man, collected taxes but did not remit them to the government. He wanted to see Jesus, but he couldn’t because of the crowd and his stature. He did not allow the challenge he faced to stop him from fulfilling his desire to see Jesus.

What are the lessons from Zacchaeus?

1.     He didn’t allow his wealth and influence to stop his ambition to see Jesus. God expects us to be like Zacchaeus and we won’t let what we have hinder our fellowship with Jesus this year.

2.     He didn’t allow his limitations to stop him, he went the extra mile by climbing the tree. For many of us, our fellowship is limited by our limitations.

3.     He worked around the prevailing challenge and didn’t allow it to deter him. No challenge will leave you the way you are, it either improves you or destroys you. This year face every challenge in the name of the Lord and believe in possibilities

4.     He was proactive and he had discernment. He discerned the way Jesus was going to pass and proactively climbed the tree. Proactiveness is the act of preparation before the action.

5.     Zacchaeus was humble to see Jesus. despite his wealth and influence, he displayed his humility by climbing the tree to see Jesus. how many of us will stay humble this year regardless of what God gives us this year?

6.     Zacchaeus was a generous man as he gave to the poor and practised hospitality

7.     He understood restitution. He was willing to give back to persons he had wrongly collected things from.

Zacchaeus' encounter with Jesus: his desire to see Jesus made Jesus look his way, if we desire Jesus this year, he is available to us. Jesus instructed him to come down from the sycamore tree and he did. If we will have encounters with Jesus this year, we must come down from the sycamore tree which means sins, pride etc.

His encounter with Jesus exceeded his expectations. He initially sought only to see Jesus, but instead, Jesus chose to visit his home, and he gladly welcomed Him. As stated in Ephesians 3:20, if you desire fellowship with Him, Jesus can do more than you could ever imagine. Zacchaeus didn’t stop at welcoming Jesus into his home; he recognized Him as Lord and opened his life to Him. Nothing is hidden from God, but He expects us to be honest and transparent before Him.

Jesus in turn offered Zacchaeus salvation because he came to seek the lost. If you expose yourself before God today, he is willing to offer you salvation. Will you expose yourself before God and accept his salvation? Be intentional about your fellowship with God this year, don’t allow your limitations to stop you.  

Prayers

1.     Lord, I desire to do Your will this year. Please help me with my areas of weakness in Jesus’ name.

2.     Lord I desire more of you in my life this year, help me Jesus

Topic: The Praise of God

(Text: 1 Chronicle 20:1-22) Jehoshaphat was a king who knew God but suddenly war rose against him, 3 nations rose against him to battle against Judah. He proclaimed a fast over the nation and prayed to God for he was clueless on what to do. He confessed to God that he knew nothing to do and was solely looking up to God. The lord's response to him was to praise God. It always sounds ridiculous and foolish when you are told to praise God amid battle and this is a pointer to the fact that the normal mind cannot understand the mystery of the kingdom. Jehoshaphat and the nation obeyed God and sang to the Lord of Israel.

If you are faced with battles and voices that scare you like Jehoshaphat and don’t know what to do, here is what you will do: praise God. This praise is not based on what you are experiencing or what you want to get from God but on the fact that God commanded it.

How to praise God?

1. Psalms 29:2; Give praise to him that is worthy of his name. You will only praise God based on your understanding of God. 

2. Praise God in holiness, for God is holy, and his ways are holy. Psalms 29:2

3. We praise God with Instruments of praise; 2 Chronicles 5: 11-14

4.  Praise him by sharing your testimonies. I Chronicles 1: 24; Psalms 26:7

5. Praise him with a loud voice. 2 Chronicles 20:19.

6. Praise God with offering. I Chronicles 16:29.

This year, I implore you to decide to praise God as Jehoshaphat and the nation of Israel in the face of challenges and unpleasant situations. Nehemiah proclaimed a fast through the nation to praise God amid uncertainty, you can do the same too this year; praise God because he is God.

I challenge you to praise God in an unusual way.

Topic: A Great Day is Coming

Text: Matthew 24:44-51

Happenings/circumstances are what make a great day, all days have the same hours. The great day here is the day Jesus Christ our Lord will come back and the day of judgment that the saints will rejoice while the sinners will weep bitterly.

Five Things to Note

1. We are sojourners on earth. We must put the country (Heaven) we are going to in mind. Hebrews 11: 13-16.

2. There are two everlasting destinations ahead of us after sojourning; one is Heaven, and the second is Hell John 5:29, Daniel 5:2, we have the choice to choose our final destination.

3. There are two paths to the everlasting destination; either by death or the second coming of Jesus. any of these can happen to us. 2 Samuel 14:14, Matthew 24:30-31.

4. There will be judgment and the judgment is to wit; on the acceptance/rejection of Jesus; John 3:36. Secondly, Jesus is coming to judge our character (Hebrews 12:14); he will judge your faithfulness (Matthew 24:44-51); lastly, Jesus will judge your works Matthew 25: 31-45. Our actions and inactions shall be judged rightly and vice versa. Only works done in truth and holiness shall stand.

5.     What then do we do? Prepare and be ready Matthew 24:44-46.

Topic: Wisdom to end well.

Text: 2 Peter 1:3

God through his divine power has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness. This means that we are complete in Jesus, everything we need in life has been supplied through his divine power. This supply is two-fold; first, knowledge of him who has called us to his glory. The purpose of this supply is to be partaker of his divine nature as seen in verse 4 of 2 Peter chapter 1.

After all these God has released, we have an effort to make, which is “all diligence” (2 Peter 1:5). Ending well is not an accident but by intentions, it is cumulative of our actions and inactions. If you fail to be intentional about the year, it is not God’s fault because he gave you everything you need for 2025 even before you entered it.

What is the wisdom to end well?

1. Understand the year, you cannot understand the year unless you have an instructor. Psalms 32:8. God is the instructor needed to understand the year and he will instruct you through the bible, fellowship with God and the brethren, and reflection.

2. Understand yourself. Know your strengths and weaknesses, things you can do well, things you can do and things you cannot do. Colossians 1:9. The benefit of understanding yourself is that there will be a reduction in the mistakes you make this year.

3. Self-improvement, this stems from the last point, when you understand yourself, you will work on yourself. There is no limit to self-improvement, it is an intentional act to better your best.

4.Build structures. You can never win anything without structure, this is your consistency. Consistency in character, competence and diligence.

5.Building relationships/Networking.

6. Knowing when to quit.

7. Leave within your means.

Prayers

1. Lord, don’t let me undo myself this year.

2.Lord, give me an understanding of the year, show me the path to go and don’t let me go astray in Jesus’ name.

3.Lord, give me insight and open my understanding to things I'm supposed to know about myself this year.
